I am ministering at Trinity for a second time. My first experience was from 1995 to 1997 as youth minister. Now I am back as pastor after serving in the same role at First Baptist Church in Asher, OK, for 15 years.
Prior to entering full time ministry, I served in the United States Air Force for 7 years. During my last three years in the military, I served as a bi-vocational youth minister for Southside Baptist Church in Altus, OK.
My wife Cheryl and I were married on May 28, 1988, and have two sons, Matt and his wife Alyssa along with our grandson Brody, and Tim who is about to graduate college.
My philosophy of ministry is simple:
1. Love The Lord and serve Him with all your might
2. Love people and serve them
3. When all else fails repeat #1
Steve Elliott started his ministry at Trinity on July 10, 2016. Before moving to Pauls Valley, Steve had served as a student minister for 14 years at churches in Oklahoma and Texas. Steve grew up in Cushing, Ok. He got saved and was called to ministry when he was 15 years old. Steve earned his bachelors of ministry degree at Oklahoma Baptist University in 2003.
Steve enjoys working with students to help them grow and find their potential in Christ. He is most passionate about teaching students about sharing their faith and helping them mature as an obedient disciple of Christ. He also loves to help students laugh and have fun. Steve enjoys gaming with students as well as just talking and going through life with them. Steve and Melissa have an open door policy for their lives. They enjoy having students over to their house and love seeing them around the community.
Steve and his wife Melissa were married in 2002. They have four daughters who they love. They also have two dogs who one of them loves.
Ashley Gallagher accepted the role of children’s director at Trinity on November 21, 2021. Before moving to Pauls Valley, she served with Oklahoma Baptists at Falls Creek Baptist Conference Center for 10 years. Ashley grew up in Stroud, OK and was saved at an early age. She was called to ministry at 14 years old. Ashley graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2016.
Ashley and her husband Josh were married in 2018 and have one son, Josiah. They also serve as foster parents and have had over a dozen children in their home.
Ashley has a heart for working with children and enjoys teaching Bible stories through hands-on interaction and object lessons. She is passionate about connecting with parents and providing resources for them to effectively disciple their children in their own homes.
