I am ministering at Trinity for a second time. My first experience was from 1995 to 1997 as youth minister.  Now I am back as pastor after serving in the same role at First Baptist Church in Asher, OK, for 15 years.

Prior to entering full time ministry, I served in the United States Air Force for 7 years.  During my last three years in the military, I served as a bi-vocational youth minister for Southside Baptist Church in Altus, OK.

My wife Cheryl and I were married on May 28, 1988, and have two boys, Matt, a student at the University of Central Oklahoma, and Tim who is in high school.  Matt plays baseball at UCO and Tim plays baseball and basketball.

My philosophy of ministry is simple:

      1.  Love The Lord and serve Him with all your might

      2.  Love people and serve them

      3.  When all else fails repeat #1

Tyler joined Trinity as the Children's Pastor in June of 2015. Tyler and his wife Mandy have been married since January of 2013, and they have two boys Easton and Reed. While attending college at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma Tyler became involced in the Baptist Collegiate Ministry. In the Fall of 2009 through this ministry Tyler placed his faith and trust in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Tyler believes that Children's Ministry involves ministering to both children and their parents. God has given parents the task of discipling their children. The church's role is to work alongside parents in connecting kids to God by cultivating their hearts to believe and trust in Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. This is done through 5 Core Values:

1. Sharing the Gospel and allowing children the opportunity to respond in faith and trust.

2. Working alongside parents to develop their child's Bible Skills.

3. Teaching children and their families how to be involved in missions through serving and sharing the Gospel.

4. Equipping parents to model and teach daily Christ Centered living.

5. Creating an environment where families build lasting relationship with each other and the church.

Children's Ministry is where the foundation of a child's faith is built. Being able to work with both children and their parents during these crucial years is what motivates Tyler. In our Kids Ministry families will experience the teaching of the Bible as God's Word and an environment where families are united with each other and the church to bring God glory through discipleship.
